it has 2 slots and both are DDR3. If you could get to go into the bios you could do a reset there but sometimes when the computer won't even boot this is the only option unless you had solved Black screen after new RAM installed? Laptop Won't Boot After Ram Upgrade Help ?

Either ram is broken, or your mainboard doesn't support it.
