I don't have Scan to network on my 8460n, just the Scan to FTP. So my problem all along was I was trying to specify the /scanner sub folder, but some how it is mapping right to that folder as the root... Saved me a few hours at least. I check the manual, online, and brother's support and the best that they could tell me was that it ‘changes the compression ratio'. I am not sure if this helps but check it out and let me know. I have come across this issue with a Real Estate client in the past with Word documents containing stupidly-large images- they have large photocopiers and even these sometimes struggle. If the MFC can route to the sub-folders you should be golden.I created folders in the root FTP folder, then I set up the Brother scanner to scan to that directory Tango Icons © Tango Desktop Project.
