Stop trying to play racing games with your keyboard. Sometimes when it hangs, it can happen when I just turn the comp on or when I open Mozilla or even when I open WMP. Btw, I've reinstalled windows after a complete format and the problem is still there. But we'll see about it.

But it seems to be a diffrent one. roylinde05-28-2011, 12:22 PMThey are trying to send you a message. I don't have any Logitech devices. I do remember that trick from before.

So again, no ctrl-alt-del. mickeyblue, it hanged last night but remained hung and didn't proceed to the blue screen...? Coast). I uninstalled the Logitech gaming software but the issue remains.

If I didn't reply to you within 48 hours, please send me a PM. It's not like i have some obscure brand keyboard. Copyright © 2006-2017 How-To Geek, LLC All Rights Reserved

However, whenever I play Battlefield...WHAM...BSODs. Just odd that I don't get a BSOD but rather a hard lockup and I don't have an NVidia chipset which some seem to think is responsible. I have played through about 7 races and my keyboard has been performing just fine. http://linux4newbie.com/bsod-on/bsod-on-windows-7-oh-joy.html Log in or Sign up Tech Support Guy Home Forums > Operating Systems > Windows 7 > Computer problem?

Having read some of the posts around LoRO (which I don't have but is similar issue), it does?seem like it's a problem?with all X-fi cards even the new PCI-E ones so Your main concern is cleaning it, as that's most certainly the root of the issue. You don't want to install any extras as Rick suggested until your system is running and you feel you really want this extra stuff.

I downloaded a temperature reader and my average temp.

I cant seem to figure out whats triggring it....? Try doing one thing at a time and jotting down exactly when it hangs. It averages 70 C' in the game, if it hits 80 or over the program alerts me and I alt-tab the game until it goes back down to 70. Edit: Found it!
