I've got an 8800GTS (G80 core) which is the same generation but higher-end, and it is worth bugger-all these days. I only wish I could replace my logic board with one containing the ATI chipset. I also checked my processor.

Already have an account? Apart from that, games might run slightly smoother under WinXP, not by much though. I agree it gets confusing with model numbers, even more so when its things like 5870 vs 6850, higher number isn't always better. if you have 20A on your 12v rail this card will run easily.
