I just don't know why it's not automatically doing this process for you. Kust download the latest firmware and reinstall it carefully. Turns out that if I disconnect my two RAIDed external HDD's and then connect to the network everything works perfectly fine, even I I reconnect them after. Her Windows network settings are identical to those on my laptop - acquiring an IP address automatically. I still haven't resolved this unfortunately. I was connected to y when it stopped working. The problem is that it says it's connected with full strength, but it just doesn't load any websites or anything else that uses the internet. Most of the time DNS is set to automatic.
