Anonymous user has correct permissions on the FTP root directory - although I don't think it is a permissions issue as DOS FTP works. I tried running the commands you listed, at the command prompt, but I get the error, "Program too big to fit in memory" for both of them. I disabled the firewall and would still not work, so hopefully windows updates clears this issue. I could see there being a problem with your account on the server but that shouldn't be specific to Windows 7. If not then it's Filezilla itself. Then when I was looking for the MTU I looked under the services blocked option on my modem, and sure enough FTP was blocked, (no idea how this got checked). I have been in Tools, Internet Options, "Enable folder view for FTP sites" and it is checked. I think it was changed with Vista, but certainly by Windows 7 the firewall is monitoring both incoming and outgoing connections. Several functions may not work.
